PAPER IS MY MEDIUM. SEQUENCE AND RHYTHM ARE MY METHOD.

My work is created at the interface between drawing, painting and sculpture - with paper as the main material. In addition to classic materials such as colored ink, acrylic and spray paint, I also use unusual found objects: interestingly punched cardboard boxes from the supermarket, coffee as a painting medium or objects such as dog bones and walnut shells that serve as stencils. Serial structures and rhythmic repetitions are particularly fascinating. Stencils and monotypes - often printed using drinking glasses or plastic cups - create compositions that vary by chance and processing. Identical shapes shift, overlap and line up rhythmically. "Errors" that arise during the work process are consciously included. The motifs of the works revolve around everyday observations from the urban space: people and nature in interaction, captured in photographic moments or inspired by fleeting impressions such as cloud formations in the sky or graphically interesting details, e.g. the view from above of parked trucks in a parking lot. This creates a complex interplay between order and chance, between documented reality and abstracted structure. An important part of my artistic practice is working with other artists. Collaborative projects open up new perspectives for me and enable the exchange of different approaches. Openness to experimentation is also evident in the exploration of new techniques: In addition to analogue processes, I am always open to trying out the possibilities of digital media, for example through 3D drawings with VR glasses, which make the space experienceable as an extension of the drawing.
